• Confirmation of Location of June 17 Games
All games previously scheduled for Tuesday, June 24 at the RA Centre have now been moved to Tuesday, June 17 at Hampton Park. This move was necessitated as the RA Centre diamonds are no longer available from June 17-24 due to the Esplanade Music Festival being moved to the RA Centre.
Since there are only two diamonds at Hampton Park, games have been scheduled there at 9:00 a.m., 10:30 a.m., and 12 noon. Please check the updated schedule on our website or with your captain for your team’s game time on June 17. The advantage of this schedule change is that we will now play games every week throughout June.
Please Note: Parking at Hampton Park is rather limited although there is 3-hour parking on the adjacent street (Parkview Rd.). Nonetheless, you may wish to consider carpooling. Hampton Park is accessible from the Queensway by using either the eastbound or westbound Carling Avenue exit.
• Change of Location for Thursday Batting Practices
Please note that Thursday morning batting practices have been moved the location of Thursday morning batting practices from Hampton Park to Pierre Rocque Park in Orleans. A survey was conducted a survey last year and has determined that the majority of people who regularly attend batting practice live in the east end, so this change in locale has been made to better accommodate them. Pierre Rocque Park is situated at the north end of St Pierre St., which runs off St Joseph Blvd., 3 blocks west of Place d ‘Orleans Dr.
Larkin Bradbury (Al’s Diner) is now running the batting practice – much appreciation goes to Doug Humphries for doing it this year so far as well as during our 2023 season.
